Ah, as usual I'm being third in line to critique, <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)" />

I've little to say that hasn't been brought up by the previous two critics.
Cats are awesome. Yours is pretty <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)" /> Considering that is probably a spontaneous shot that inspired 'thank god he/she/the cat stayed in place and the shot came out' thoughts - it's good. Hm..even if not - it's still good, actually.

However, I think you'd be able to catch your cat at its full marvel - although that will take some work.

White can be a color full of wonderful diverse hints and tones and reflections of colors around. That is, at times, what makes white interesting. Also, the cat's fur is infinitely soft - but this is not necessarily obvious from a photograph without help from the artist.
So, in order to improve the two above mentioned things, I'd suggest: either plan or provide soft lighting in post editing.
Even without such, I can see yellows and pinks in your cat, the pastel creme kind - the tints that reiterate the texture of the fur.

Your cat's eyes are golden ocher with a hint of green at the center - to bring this out, repeat those colors in the background, in a slightly less rich tone, if possible.
I like the presence of the blue yellow on the bucket - but more as a concept: it's good to have complementary colors to the yellows to contrast the cat - however, those particular shades are very vivid. The only reason why we're not focusing more on then than the cat is the blurriness of the basket.

And a final word: when you think about your cat, what position do you associate it most with? My relatives have a male orange striped cat, and he's extremely energetic, stretchable and friendly - so he's either jumping to unbelievable heights, lounging across someone's shoulders or curling in unusual poses in unusual containers; and those would be the kind of moment I'd attempt to capture, if I was photographing him.
So, if you cat is peaceful and rather relaxed, this depicting of it is ...'accurate'.
However, if there's more to your cat - use your photography to capture it <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)" />
